We specialize in organic, authentic, Japanese shaded green tea (KABUSECHA) and green tea powders. The best climate conditions in Kagoshima ( southern part of Japan), a very fertile organic soil, unique ancestral tea manufacturing practices and knowhow, different tea picking periods are only a few of the criteria that set us apart from the rest. Half shading the best suited tea garden sections and covering the tea bushes with special nets called (KABUSE) allow only 50% of the sun rays to penetrate the plant. Growing half shaded comes very close to the natural growing conditions of the wild tea plant. Half shaded tea (KABUSECHA) produces more nutrients and a distinctive fresh and highly aromatic scent.
In order to preserve all the active substances, the delicate aromas of the fresh tea leaves and to prevent oxidation /fermentation, KEIKO TEA is processed in a proprietary special way immediately after picking. The tea leaves are steamed, cooled, rolled and dried. Even our ways of packaging are special to guarantee optimum tea freshness and enjoyment.
